At CorelTex Retail, we prioritize your shop's privacy while building a smarter retail ecosystem. This policy explains how we distinguish between your private business data and the anonymized intelligence data that helps power our platform.

2. Data Collection Categories

Locally Stored Data (Private)

Your shop's operational data is stored exclusively on your device. This includes:

• Detailed transaction records and customer names.
• Individual product names and specific pricing.
• Flash cash levels and drawer balances.

CorelTex cannot access, view, or retrieve this data. We do not know who bought what or the specific financial status of your business at a granular level.

Anonymized Market Insights (Shared)

To provide high-level insights and keep our software accessible, the app automatically generates weekly summaries that are shared with our secure cloud. These insights are strictly aggregate and include:

• Aggregate Sales Volumes: High-level category performance (e.g., "Electronics" or "Groceries").
• Price Indexing: Average selling prices within a specific region to help you stay competitive.
• General Location: City and Region only. We do not track or store GPS coordinates.
• Usage Statistics: Technical data on how the app is used to help us improve performance.

Technical Identifiers

We use a unique Installation ID to track system performance and research participation. This identifier is not linked to your name, phone number, or any personal details, ensuring data cannot be traced back to an individual user.

3. How Data is Used

The anonymized data we collect serves two primary purposes:

• Market Trends: We provide regional market trends, price comparisons, and supply chain insights to partners and suppliers to improve the retail ecosystem.
• Software Optimization: Data helps us tune the CorelTex experience for specific business types, ensuring a specialized feel for everyone from Hardware stores to Pharmacies.

4. Data Storage & Security

Cloud Infrastructure

Anonymized insight data is securely transmitted via Firebase (Google Cloud) infrastructure only when an internet connection is available. We employ industry-standard encryption during transmission.

Offline Risks & Responsibility

As CorelTex Retail is an offline-first application, the majority of your data lives on your physical device. You are responsible for your device’s security. We highly recommend utilizing the built-in "App Lock" feature to prevent unauthorized access.

5. Your Rights

Data Deletion

You maintain full control over your records. You can use the "Clear All Data" button in the App Settings to permanently wipe all local records from your device at any time.
